Exterior Prep List

Open and/or raise all blinds if possible
Open all curtails including sheers if possible
Turn on all lights and makes sure all bulbs match and are working
Turn off all ceiling fans
Contain pets in garage or spare room out of sight
Remove all pet bowls and items
De-clutter countertops in kitchen and bathrooms
Make sure all toilet lids are down
Remove photos, magnets, and papers from refrigerator
De-clutter all rooms that may be excessively furnished (does not photograph well)
Make sure all beds are made, clothing is put away and dresser draws are closed when possible
Remove piles are paper, magazines, or mail
Hide all trash cans in closets or cabinets
Remove scatter rugs
When possible move loose wires or cords out of sight as much as possible
Remove personal photos and items with name customizations

Remove all vehicles from driveways and do not park directly in front of the house.
Move garbage cans out of sight.
Make sure garage doors and windows are closed.
Remove all garden tools including hoses and sprinklers.
Mow, trim bushes, and remove toys from the yard.
Sweep driveways, sidewalks and patios.
Turn on all exterior lights including porch, pool/landscaping lights if applicable.
Make sure motion detection/bright floodlights are off.
Open and/or raise all blinds when possible.
Open curtains including sheers.
Turn on all interior lights including closets and any other rooms with windows.
Make sure all bulbs are in working order.
Place extra lamp under/by windows in rooms with dim lighting.
Turn on inside garage lights.
